What is it?

The Great Grub Club (GGC) magazine club is free to join. It is for children aged 4-7 living in Hackney and Tower Hamlets, and encourages them to be healthy in a fun way.

Members of the club will receive four magazines a year that are full of fun activities to encourage healthy living. They will also receive a membership pack containing a ‘Passport To Good Health’ as well as a poster, badge, sticker card and stickers.

By encouraging children to eat healthily and be physically active at an early age, the Great Grub Club aims to help them develop healthy habits that, if continued into adulthood, can reduce their risk of developing cancer later in life.

Who can join?

We are currently developing our outreach education work by offering membership of the GGC to children aged 4-7 in the London boroughs of Hackney and Tower Hamlets. We have chosen to target these areas due to high levels of obesity and low levels of physical activity amongst children.*

If you live in Tower Hamlets or Hackney and are the parent of a child aged 4-7 who would like to join the Great Grub Club, simply contact us or download an application form from the bottom of the page.

Alternatively, if you work with children in these areas and would like to know more, email grubgang@wcrf.org, call 020 7343 4205 or write to Great Grub Club, World Cancer Research Fund, 22 Bedford Square, London WC1B 3HH.
